I’ve written many a blog post about the power of place. I’m glad to be able to tell you about my visit off the coast of where The Battle of the Capes happened. I find it very awesome that the beautiful beach I was on was once the site of the most important naval battle of the American Revolution. Washington and Rochambeau always get all the credit, but I’m also grateful for de Grasse and a pretty inept Admiral Graves.
